The Socks of Doom

Working in partnership with a leading provider of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), we have created an illustrated book – The Socks of Doom.
Whilst there is a widespread acceptance within the mental health professions that CBT is an effective and powerful form of treatment for many conditions, it can be intimidating for newcomers. We set out to create a book that would make the basic concepts of CBT as accessible as possible, allowing readers to relate them to everyday experience.
The story follows several days in the life of our well-meaning but hapless hero, and his unusually rational dog, Percy. We see everyday scenarios through the eyes of both characters, and how their different approaches affect the way they feel.
The book is aimed at:
- Readers with a general interest in therapeutic practice
- Readers who are taking part in CBT or considering it
- Healthcare professionals new to CBT
- Students & Trainees
Work Included:
- Narrative Concept
- Character Development
- Script / copy Development
- Original Illustrations
We are also developing a series of animations to deliver the concepts to an online audience.
