The Wildlife Trusts - Online Petition
As part of their Marine Bill Campaign, The Wildlife Trusts commissioned us to design and produce an animated online petition. ‘Bernard the Gurnard’ became a news story and generated large numbers of site visitors as well as gathering thousands of signatures.
Objectives
• Generate Interest in the online petition
• Bring the situation to life in the mind of the viewer
• Create an emotional response to get people to sign up
Results
The animated petition gathered 2500 signatures in the first month – the same number that the previous petition had taken over a whole year.
It was then adapted for the successful ‘Save Lyme Bay Reefs’ campaign, where it contributed over 3000 signatures – around half of the total submitted.
