Our latest explanimation video covers the UK’s Green Deal, due to launch in October 2012. The scheme aims to make domestic energy-efficiency improvements easier for people to afford.

The main challenge was to get across the key principles of the scheme in an accessible way. The Green Deal’s ‘Golden Rule’ is actually very simple but, in text form, sounds complex. We visualised it as a semi-abstract graph, which makes it VERY easy to understand.

We also developed a visual identity with a ‘recycled material’ feel, and a logo that conveys a general sense of partnership, and incorporates two buildings – one domestic and one commercial (which the green deal will eventually cover).

We’ve had fantastic feedback from key figures in the industry, and we expect the film to play a small but important part in helping the public understand the scheme.

The film has been developed in collaboration with Paula Owen Consulting, and is available to license for both online and offline use. Please contact us for more information.
