Following their launch in Australia earlier this month, the climate change animations commissioned by the Great Barrier Reef Marine Park Authority and produced by Archipelago are now available online.

The films cover three topics:

What is Coral Bleaching? Follows the lifecycle of a coral polyp and explains the complex biological process of coral bleaching in an easy-to-follow, engaging way.

Impacts of Climate Change is an emotive animation conveying the effects climate change will have on marine ecosystems and suggesting ways to minimise our impact.

What is Climate Change? follows a young boy on his journey to the beach and gives clear explanation of the basic concepts of climate change for younger children, creating an emotional connection between personal actions and their impact on coral reefs.

The animations were designed and produced at our UK studio, and feature original soundtracks by composer and producer Alan Miller.

Feedback from children, teachers and scientists has been amazing – GBRMPA described them as “the best explanations of climate change and coral bleaching some of our experts have ever seen.”

We are now discussing adapted versions of the animations which will be localised for other parts of the world. For further information please give us a call on UK+44 (0)1992 505222. Contact us
