The Energy Technologies Institute (ETI) assesses energy-producing devices and systems, and provides data to inform both government and industry.

We think that it’s such important work that when they asked us to create a 3D visualisation of a new turbine design, from scratch, with a deadline of “Tomorrow-ish”, we sprung into action.

The renders show a new type of floating turbine platform, which can be loosely tethered to keep it in the same place, or anchored to the seabed with cables. Both methods are much less environmentally disruptive than building a solid platform on which the turbine stands.
